PHYSICAL THERAPY

Personalized Physical Therapy Care for Recovery and Rehab

Many people think of physical therapy as just a bunch of exercises they’ll never do. Some people have even told us they have stopped PT in the past because they felt ashamed or judged for not following an assigned program. That’s where we’re different….

At Cascade Health Physical and Hand Therapy, we are your health partner, not your drill sergeant. We are dedicated to helping you reach your goals and believe that starts with listening to what’s important to you. You will always receive attentive, one-on-one care and your treatment plan will be something we create together, not a tedious assignment.

Will we suggest therapeutic exercise? Almost always — you can’t move better if you aren’t moving at all. But we’ll work with you to make it a doable, useful and fun part of a holistic approach to improving your quality of life and provide a healthy dose of positive encouragement to empower you along the way.

What to Expect

Your first visit will last one hour. We will do an initial evaluation to assess your condition, beginning with a discussion of your symptoms and history. We may also take measurements of things like your strength, range of motion, balance and neurological function.

We will also talk to you about your goals to understand what you hope to gain from physical therapy. Based on all the information we gather, we will suggest a preliminary treatment plan. Depending on your condition, your plan may include:

✅ An exercise regimen

✅ Balance training

✅ Custom orthotics

✅ Electrical stimulation

✅ Heat and cold therapy

✅ Joint mobilization

✅ Light therapy

✅ Mobilization

✅ Myofascial release

✅ Patient education

✅ Taping

✅ Training in using assistive devices

✅ Ultrasound therapy

✅ Weight training

Your proposed plan is not intended to be set in stone — we encourage you to provide feedback, ask questions and discuss any concerns. We will work collaboratively with you to refine the plan so it fits your needs and lifestyle. We will regularly review and adjust your goals to ensure that you continue moving forward. With your permission, we will also report your progress to your referring or primary care provider.

  • Prior to making an appointment, please ask your medical professional if you need a referral or call us for help verifying your benefits. It is your responsibility to verify your insurance coverage and you will be financially responsible for the cost of your appointment if your insurance company denies your claim due to the lack of a referral.

After you have scheduled your first appointment, we will email a link to an online form to complete. If you need the paperwork in another format, please contact us.

  • Wear comfortable clothes in which you can exercise and move freely and comfortable shoes such as sneakers. You may change at the clinic if you will be coming from work.

  • Valid identification

    Insurance card

    Co-payment (if applicable)

  • We have locations on Suzanne Way and Centennial Loop. Please verify the location of your appointment.

Arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to allow time for the check-in process.

  • You always have the choice to see a physical therapist without a referral. However, many insurance companies require that you get a referral and preauthorization for physical therapy treatment and may refuse to pay your claim if these are not in place by the time of your appointment. If you are unsure if you need a referral or would like to check your benefits, please call us at (541) 342-1632 and we can contact your insurance company as a courtesy to you.
