Cascade Health is a local, nonprofit health care organization founded to fill the unmet health needs and make life better for those we have the privilege to serve in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon.
Palliative Care, Home Hospice, Pete Moore Hospice House: We make life better by providing comfort. We provide compassionate physical, emotional and spiritual care to help people manage the symptoms of chronic illnesses or comfortably find meaning and peace in the final phase of life.
Occupational Health: We make life better at work. Our occupational health programs keep people in our community working, safe and well at more than 3,000 local businesses.
Counseling and Employee Assistance Programs: We make life better by guiding people through difficult emotions, conditions and situations. Our EAP and therapy help people develop strong relationships, overcome adversity, learn healthy communication skills and make personal changes that contribute to more fulfilling lives.
Home Health, Diabetes, Nutrition Education, Travel Health and Physical Therapy: We make life better by helping people become healthier. Our services give people the tools, education and support they need to take control of their conditions and make healthy choices.

Our History
We have been providing medical care to patients in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon for nearly 75 years – since we opened McKenzie-Willamette Hospital.
In 1948 the Willamette River flooded, cutting off the City of Springfield from the hospital in nearby Eugene. Neighbors banded together, formed a board of directors and raised funds to bring a hospital to Springfield. McKenzie-Willamette was established as a community benefit organization in 1955.
In the early 1980s, the hospital added services intended to fill gaps in local care options, including behavioral health, occupational health and home hospice. Many of these services were subsidized by the McKenzie-Willamette Community Health Foundation, which raised and managed funds to ensure community access to needed services.
In 2003, McKenzie-Willamette Hospital formed a new company, McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, which is jointly owned and operated by Triad. When this occurred, the hospital’s foundation and some of its service lines split to form an independent, nonprofit health organization: Cascade Health.
Since then, Cascade Health has been proud to provide charitable community health services to Lane County. Through collaboration and cooperation, we continue to work closely with other organizations to collectively improve our community’s health and well-being.
