PHYSICAL THERAPY

Orthopedic Physical Therapy

So much of what you enjoy depends on a healthy musculoskeletal system — muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons that work together to let you do the activities you love.

When an injury or illness makes that painful or impossible, Cascade Health is devoted to getting you back to the life you want. Whether that means returning to work after recovering from an on-the-job accident or optimizing your performance to run a marathon, our experienced physical therapists provide customized care to get you moving.

About Orthopedic Physical Therapy

About 50% of people will experience a musculoskeletal disorder this year. If you’re one of them, physical therapy is an effective, safe way to improve and maintain your health and function. Orthopedic physical therapists are skilled at diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders using a wide variety of methods. Exercise is particularly important for orthopedic health and will usually be a part of your treatment plan.

Our team of orthopedic physical therapists are dedicated, knowledgeable and caring movement professionals committed to helping you get the results you want with completely individualized care. We start by listening to your history, challenges and wishes to get to know you and not just your condition. We collaborate with you to set goals that will motivate you and guide your treatment, then build a comprehensive program to get you healthy, moving and pain-free.

As you get into your treatment, we track your progress, adjust the mix of treatment strategies as needed and report back to your referring provider. Each step of the way, we follow your lead, making sure you’re happy with your therapy and making changes if you’re not.

Our goal is not just to help you overcome medical challenges, but to empower you as an active participant in your own health so that you can continue maintaining or improving even after your treatment with us is done.

Our OPT Approach

If you are experiencing chronic pain orthopedic therapy may be able to significantly improve your quality of life.

  • If you’ve been injured (on or off the job), seeing an orthopedic therapist early may be able to help you avoid the need for more intensive medical care — including surgery — later.

  • If you are planning on surgery, your doctor may refer you to pre-operative conditioning to reduce your recovery time. They will also typically refer you to physical therapy for post-operative rehabilitation to restore function and avoid long-term.
