Primary Care Clinic
Over the past five years, our membership-based Primary Care Clinic has been dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare to all of the members. When we first opened the clinic, it was our goal to make primary healthcare more accessible and affordable to everyone who lives in our community. Growing the clinic was an incredible experience and it gave us the opportunity to look at the traditional healthcare model in a completely different way and it was gratifying that many benefited from this unusual structure.
A few months ago our Primary Care Clinic provider made the decision to move into a specialty practice. Because of all the changes in healthcare these days, transitions are not surprising, but what we did not fully anticipate was the challenge of recruiting a new provider for the clinic. It quickly became clear to us that, instead of trying to replace our provider, we should explore opportunities to partner with existing providers in the community to continue our mission of ready access to affordable healthcare.
We are pleased to announce that we were able to locate an exceptional provider that fills the existing needs perfectly – Dr. Randy Reese of Reese Family Practice. Not only has he made it possible to continue providing quality care to members, he is able to expand the number of days that appointments will be available. Dr. Reese’s background makes him a uniquely qualified physician to provide his patients with a well-rounded approach to achieving good health. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and has also been certified in both Geriatric Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Additionally, he spent five years practicing with a John Hopkins-based cardiology group, and for four years he directed the family practice division of a large psychiatric clinic in Dallas, Texas. He is co-author, along with Frank Minirth, M.D., of the book “Growing into Wholeness: Putting Body, Mind, and Spirit Back Together.”
While it’s difficult for Cascade Health Solutions to let go of a service that is at the core of our mission, we know that the transition of the Primary Care Clinic will yield the best outcome for each of the member patients. We want to sincerely thank those of you who have supported this program over the past five years. If you have any questions about the Primary Care Clinic transition or any of the other services offered by Cascade Health, please contact us at 541-228-3000.
