Job Title: Registration Clerk
Department: Occupational Health
Responsible to: Occupational Health Manager
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay Range: $17.24 – 25.86

Job Summary: The Registration Clerk is responsible for scheduling, registration, and associated paperwork of workers from client companies who come in for pre-placement physicals, drug screens, and injury treatments. Provides strong customer service in a fast-paced, high volume medical clinic environment, while assuring accuracy of patient information entry. This position requires proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at time of offer.

Education & License Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Strong keyboarding skills for data entry and experience with Windows based software required. Must be detail orientated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, a professional demeanor when dealing with others and the ability to function as a member of a work team.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet clients and provide customer service.
  • Register patients in computer for required services.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments.
  • Monitor and distribute incoming faxes.
  • Assist with processing medical record requests.
  • Pull and file patient charts.
  • Use electronic medical record (EMR) system to retrieve patient medical records.
  • Distribute scanned documents to patient’s electronic file.
  • Maintain knowledge of department policies.

Marginal Job Functions: Filing, faxing, phone and scheduling backup, credit card processing, cash handling, and assist with mail processing.
