How do I make an appointment?

Call 541-345-2800. Most appointments are available within a week.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Appointments are available Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We also set aside counseling times for emergencies.

What if I need to speak to someone immediately, but it’s after hours?

An on-call counselor is available 24/7, including holidays. Call 541-345-2800.

Will my employer know that I made an appointment or visited a counselor?

Not unless you tell your employer or sign a release. Our relationship with you is confidential.

Do we see the same counselor for every session?

Yes, unless your counselor, in consultation with you, determines that another staff member would be better suited to assist you.

What happens if I’m dissatisfied with my counselor?

It’s important that you feel comfortable and satisfied with your counselor. Please contact our receptionist to discuss your options.

What if I want to continue counseling sessions beyond what is offered through my employee assistance program?

If your counselor is covered by your insurance, we can easily arrange that. If not, we can refer you to another provider covered by your insurance or arrange for out-of-pocket payments.

What insurance do you accept for counseling services?

We accept Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield, HMA, PacificSource, First Choice, ODS, Medicaid, Medicare, UBH/Providence/UHC, MHN/Health/Tricare, Trillium, Medicare, HMA, and Aetna. Other contracts may be arranged. .

What services does Cascade Behavioral Health & EAP offer for individuals?

We can address a range of issues, including anger management, grief and loss, communication building, depression, family issues, parenting, stress and anxiety, work-related problems, relationship difficulties, trauma, substance use/abuse and recovery, elder care issues, step-parenting, separation or divorce, and more.

We also provide a number of services for people with work-related concerns, including: conflict resolution, supervisor consults, team building sessions, individual counseling, coaching and leadership skill building, and critical incident debriefing.

Can I specify a male or female counselor?

Yes. Just tell the receptionist if you have a preference.

How will I know which counselor is right for me?

When you call, the receptionist may inquire about your situation, so that you can be matched to the counselor best suited to your needs.

Can my counselor co-ordinate my care with my other healthcare providers?

Yes. You will need to sign a release in order for him/her to talk with your other providers.

What if I need help solving personal issues?

Whether you need childcare, eldercare for a loved one, or legal or financial advice, we can help. One-on-one consultations are available by phone or in person. We can also assist with weight management and achieving other health-related goals.
